Ford Mustang celebrates 48 years
Tue, 17 Apr 2012On April 17, 1964, at the World's Fair in New York, Henry Ford II brought the world its first pony car, the Ford Mustang. In a move that would never be possible today, cars were taken to dealerships for sale prior to the reveal. Ford sold 22,000 units on day one.
A tribute to Ermanno Cressoni

Ermanno Cressoni or 'Arch' as many of his designers affectionately referred to him, passed away on Thursday 30th June in Milan after battling with cancer for 13 months.'Arch' was a reference in car design and his contribution to our profession was much more important than stated in the press. As Alfa Romeo Centro Stile Director he directed the Alfetta berlina, the famous chrome GTV grille from the early seventies is attributed to him, as is the Giuglietta sedan of the late seventies, the Alfa 33, the 75, and many of the racing Alfas we adore from the late 60s and early 70s.
Petersen museum celebrates the 50th anniversary of Phil Hill's world championship
Mon, 12 Sep 2011It's been three years since the racing world lost one of its greatest heroes and nicest guys. Now, on the 50th anniversary of his world championship, the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles is celebrating the life and accomplishments of Phil Hill--the first American to hold that title--with a new exhibit of his cars and a gala celebration of his greatest races. First is the exhibit, assembled in collaboration with Phil's son Derek, himself a racer.
