Mitsubishi revamps U.S. strategy

Mitsubishi plans a different U.S. model lineup and a new production strategy for its assembly plant in Normal, Ill., as it shifts emphasis away from regionally focused vehicles to global small cars, hybrids and electrics. Shinichi Kurihara, CEO of Mitsubishi Motors North America, says the company will launch four new models in the United States within three years, as four slow-selling U.S.-built vehicles are phased out of production by 2014.

Renault has revealed the Kangoo be bop ZE Electric Car Based on the current production Renault Kangoo, the Kangoo be bop gets a few bits added. Front and rear LED lights, lowered suspension (by 20mm) and 18″ wheels. The interior of the Kangoo be bop is swathed with chrome finishes and is designed to give a more futuristic feel to the Kangoo.

A leaked picture of the new Hyundai i40 / Sonata Hyundai has released sketches of the i40 as a tease ahead of the launch at the Frankfurt Motor Show this month, but unfortunately for them we’ve received the picture you see at the top – and those in the photo gallery at the bottom – that show the real deal. Which sort of takes the edge off the ‘Stylised’ sketches Hyundai has released.
