Scion XB/XA Toyota Echo cylinder block. Good used condition, has about 120,000 miles on it. Needs to be hot tanked. The deck should be level and the cylinder walls should be within spec. I would have it checked and perhaps use oversize pistons if you plan on rebuilding this. Expert: Fisker Karma's engine packaging, not batteries, likely caused fire
Fri, 11 May 2012A garage fire last week in suburban Houston has been linked to a Fisker Karma plug-in hybrid, but the company quickly noted that the battery remained intact and unplugged -- and did not appear to be the cause. But if not the battery, then what? More likely, poor packaging in the engine compartment and exhaust routing generated excess heat.

Renault-Nissan and Mitsubishi to join forces

Discussions aren’t finished but as part of the deal Mitsubishi will get hold of a Renault chassis large enough to use as a base a full-size saloon for the North American market. The firms will also further develop an electric version of a Japan-only ‘kei car’.
