Nissan will recall 908,900 vehicles globally for accelerator sensor glitch

Nissan is planning to recall approximately 908,900 cars globally due to a flaw in the accelerator sensor that can cause the engine to stall, Reuters is reporting. The vehicles included in the recall were produced in Japan between 2004 and 2013, and include the Serena, X-Trail, Lafesta, and Fuga models. For the U.S.

Despite a three-box profile, the 5.5-liter V12 diesel engine is located behind passengers, putting out 700PS. Transversely mounted with a wide V angle, the engine still allows space for four occupants, with a trunk accessed via a motorised opening.

Registration is now open to attend the glamorous Interior Motives Design Awards 2013 ceremony at Moon 13 (formerly The Cocoon Club) in Frankfurt on 9 September, the eve of the first Frankfurt motor show press day. The finalists will be revealed in front of some of the most influential figures in car design, while partygoers will be able to view the projects in person and relax over a drink and food with their colleagues.
