★ EXTREMELY RARE 1884 (129 years old) BRONZE SINGLE SPEED WINDLASS IN GOOD WORKING CONDITION - 12 PHOTOS ★

DESCRIPTION:  Buy it now or make reasonable offer.  Excellent find for classic yacht owners and restorers and nautical collectors.  Bronze manual single speed yacht windlass in natural working condition .. rope drum type.  Dated August 24 - 1886 on face plate.  It weighs 25 pounds including the mounting bolts .. stands 8 1/2" high .. 10" wide .. base is 8 1/2" x 6".  Lever takes a 1" bar or pole (not provided).  Twelve photos in the gallery are arranged from every angle including disassembly .. no hidden problems .. contact me if anything important to you needs further clarification.

Ken Ma appointed VP Design at Chang'an

Former Shanghai Automotive Technical Center (SATC) design director Ken Ma joined Changan Automobile Group as vice president of the firm's Engineering Research Center late last year. Ma's new role puts him in charge of the Group's global design department, reporting directly to Changan group chairman LiuPin Xu on all design matters. But the move also effectively places him in the highest design position at any mainstream automotive company in China – a breakthrough for the country's automotive design industry.

Journalist Chris Harris got a chance to take the Jaguar XKR-S GT for a spin on the track in the latest Drive video. The GT gets Jag's 5.0-liter V8 making 550 hp and 501 lb-ft, which is the same as XKR-S. However, plenty of improvements are made in the chassis.
