2010 Kia Forte: More goodies for a lower price
Tue, 14 Jul 2009The new Forte replaces the Kia Spectra compact sedan for 2010. Kia's biggest seller gets new skin and a wider, longer version of the Hyundai Elantra platform for the 2010 model year but falls short in simple things such as the workings of shifters and clutches. Still, it's only $14,390 to start, and that includes Bluetooth, an iPod jack and three months of Sirius satellite radio.
2011 Audi R8 GT, an AW first look
Sat, 01 May 2010Three years after it burst onto the supercar scene, Audi has unveiled a hard-core version of its R8 called the GT. Based on the existing mid-engine R8 V10 and incorporating aerodynamic, weight-saving and mechanical developments used by the company's R8 LMS GT3 race car, Ingolstadt will build just 333 copies of the new 560-hp four-wheel-drive performance flagship. Pricing has not yet been revealed, but given the extent of the changes to the new two-seater, buyers should expect a hefty premium over the R8 V10's $147,000 price tag when the GT goes on sale in North America.
Lexus LFA Roadster makes an appearence in Tokyo (video)
Sun, 15 Jan 2012Lexus LFA Roadster The long-rumoured Lexus LFA Roadster has made a surprise appearance at the D1GP Kick Off Drift event in Tokyo. The plan for Toyota to chop the top of the LFA to create a Lexus LFA Roadster has been running round the rumour mill for a while, but Toyota has yet to confirm it. That said, we reported back in October that Toyota were planning a launch of the Lexus LFA Roadster in 2014, and unlike the LFA Roadster – which was limited to 500 cars worldwide – Lexus were going to build as many LFA Roadsters as the market could swallow.
