2012 Infiniti M35h gets more frugal The 2012 Infinit M35h has been tweaked to lower its emissions and improve its economy, meaning real savings for company car drivers. We’re not the biggest fans of hybrid powertrains, it’s true to say, but that has more to do with the staggering amount car makers charge to offer the complex technology. But Infiniti is different, and their M35h costs just £1180 more than the comparable M30d with a diesel engine.

Call for ban on in-car hands-free phones

Road safety charity Brake is calling for a blanket ban on in-car hands-free phone systems. Using a hand-held phone while driving is already illegal in the UK, so a proposal to prohibit even hands-free kits would completely eradicate calling from behind the wheel. The established car makers will use the experience Tesla has gained developing the high-performance, £92,000 Roadster as a short cut to  getting their own electric cars on sale. 'Smaller Teslas in the pipeline' Tesla plans to have its Model S five-seat electric hatchback on sale by 2010 in both the United States and Europe.
