GM envisions future city car with EN-V concepts

The city car of the future will seat two people, run on electric power and communicate with other vehicles to reach a destination faster while automatically avoiding traffic tie-ups and crashes. General Motors, working with electric-scooter maker Segway, has developed three concepts tailored toward that vision of future transportation. The Electric Networked Vehicle, or EN-V, concepts go on display May 1 at the World Expo in Shanghai.

BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe revealed BMW reveals the 6 Series Gran Coupe, a 6 Series with extra doors and more room, the Gran Coupe is BMW’s take on the Mercedes CLS. It’s not a surprise that the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe has arrived, the surprise is that it’s taken so long. GM profits surge to $3.2 billion in first quarter

General Motors on Thursday posted net income of $3.2 billion for the first quarter, its fifth straight quarterly profit since emerging from bankruptcy. Stripping out one-time charges and gains, including $1.6 billion in income from the March sale of GM's ownership in Delphi Automotive, GM earned $2 billion before interest and taxes. GM's net income for the January-through-March period a year earlier was $865 million.
