Rodeo Drive Concours d'Elegance celebrates Italian motoring - Autoweek

The concours on Rodeo started in 1993 with a three-block-long celebration of beautiful cars highlighted by the world debut of the Ferrari 348 Spyder. Piero Ferrari was there, along with Luca di Montezemolo and Sergio Pininfarina. Since then, the annual Father's Day event has featured some of the world's most beautiful cars on the world's most famous shopping street.

The biggest surprise at the 2010 NAIAS was GMC's Granite concept - a design that expands (or rather contracts) the truck/crossover brand's 'professional grade' philosophy to a compact hatchback aimed at urban hipsters and early adopters. Conceived by Frank Saucedo's Advanced Design team in California and then built at GM's Design Center in Detroit, the Granite combines the basic proportions of the Nissan Cube and Scion xB with a military/industrial feel inspired by the current G-Star and Diesel fashion lines. First up is the Lamborghini Super Trofeo. It’s a lightweight version of the LP560-4, destined to compete in what Lamborghini believes is the fastest one-make race series in the world.
