Starting Feb. 28 and running through the end of September, the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles celebrates all that is good about bad car ideas in an exhibit titled "What Were They Thinking?" Sure, there are Edsels and Amphicars.

But this document puts up some real detail, and pictures of the sad decline of a once successful (particularly in the U.S.) supercar maker. When Ferrari has a special car – like an Enzo or the new Aperta – there are never going to be enough cars to satisfy the list of potential customers. Which is the point.
