One Lap of the Web: Allante, World's wildest chases, and more of Bring a Trailer's Euro trip

Hemmings has this look back at the wonderful Cadillac Allante and its hilarious Transatlantic assembly process. Yesterday, Jalopnik posted a video of a terrifying motorcycle/car chase that left multiple people injured. Today, the guy who allegedly started it all has been arrested.

Newcastle and cars: for many, that phrase brings to mind the 1971 British cult gangster movie ‘Get Carter', starring Michael Caine. The city isn't obviously associated with cars and the Trinity Centre car park famously used in the movie is about to be demolished as part of major regeneration work that the city has seen over the last 15 years. Northumbria University's magnificent new School of Design, which opened just two years ago, is a typical example of the exciting architecture now emerging in this city and CDN decided to pay a visit to catch up with this fast-developing UK design school.

But that claim is something Jeremy will have to qualify by location in future after the French ‘Rozzers’ nicked both Clarkson and Richard Hammond on a Top Gear drive in France last month. How we all managed to miss this little snippet of news when Jeremy revealed it in his column in The Sun last month, we don’t know.
