Manufacturer Description:

Upgrading to these COMP Cams® titanium valve spring retainers will often allow you to gain speed and power because titanium retainers are lighter and stronger than most steel ones. Additionally, our Super Lock™ titanium design gives you confidence; no longer will you be preoccupied with splitting a retainer and tearing up an engine when turning 10,000 RPM.

These COMP Cams® titanium retainers are made from the finest 6AL4V alloy for maximum stiffness and minimal warpage. The 6AL4V alloy is heat-treated and processed to a stringent tolerance that makes it so strong that it is even used in the aircraft industry. Other manufacturers purchase titanium from metal brokers and produce “cheap” retainers, but COMP Cams® titanium retainers will not deform. From a standing idle to the most extreme RPM, our titanium retainers perform flawlessly and without compromise.

Volvo S60 (2010/2011) – the Video

Thu, 31 Dec 2009

Volvo has released video of the 2010 Volvo S60 We first got the new Volvo S60 tease nearly a year ago, and rather unkindly we speculated that the production car would look nothing like the concept. It looked far too stylish and flowing for Volvo – reminiscent of cars like the Jaguar XF – to actually put in to production. But we were wrong.

Bugatti Royale or Bugatti Bordeaux?

Sat, 18 Jul 2009

A clearer version of the Bugatti invitation - showing a new four-door Veyron? And now Pistonheads has got hold of a clearer version of the invitation – the one you see above. It doesn’t really show a lot more, but you can clearly make out eight exhausts and what seems to be a thin strip of brake lights running down a split rear screen.

China builds world’s longest sea bridge (video)

Qingdao Jiaozhou Bay Bridge - world's longest sea bgridge We’ve got some decent bridges in the UK. Some are pretty – Tower Bridge – and some are more practical, like the Queen Elizabeth II Dartford crossing. Some of our bridges even seem quite big, by UK standards.
