Peugeot 308 S HDi 90 Review & Road Test part 2
Sat, 01 May 2010We continue our review / road test of the Peugeot 308 S The 308 range as a whole can stretch north of £22,000 as a base price, which is far too much money for what’s on offer. But this car – the Peugeot 308 S HDi 90 – comes in at a more reasonable £16,955. Our car did have a few extras thrown at it - metallic paint (£410) and SatNav (£715) – which pushed it up over £18k.
Volvo S60 Polestar goes in to production
Wed, 17 Apr 2013It sounded like a plan to put it in to production – even if it would probably need twin turbos to make it nicely wieldy on the road – and that’s exactly what Volvo and Polestar have done. The Volvo S60 Polestar has gone in to limited production, initially for the Australian market, but instead of the mighty 508bhp of the concept it has to make do with a more pedestrian 350bhp, little more than the V60 we reviewed last year with the Polestar upgrade. But the extra power is enough to get the production S60 Polestar to 62mph in 4.9 seconds and, thanks to tweaks to the suspension, brakes and aerodynamics, the S60 Polestar looks like it will be able to handle the power quite well.
UK car sales slump as credit crunch bites
Mon, 07 Jul 2008By Nigel Wonnacott Motor Industry 07 July 2008 13:18 It’s finally happened. Latest figures from industry trade body the SMMT showed an 11.9 percent fall in private sales in June 2008 to 83,425 cars.
