Art Center Winter Degree Show 2010

The 2010 Art Center Winter Show that took place late last month was the stage for many talented graduates. Sixteen students presented their work at the show, each with quality and finish that was extremely impressive. So too was each student's commitment to the design process and their own inspiration.

BMW 1 Series Coupe

Details of BMW's latest addition have been officially released. The new 1 Series Coupe - which will be available as both a 128i and a 135i  when it goes on sale in North America - is a modern interpretation of the classic 2002, with a front-engine and rear-drive configuration. As expected, the new car looks a lot like a 1 Series hatch; the biggest difference being the newly created rear end.

First Sight: Volvo Concept Coupé

It's clear talking to the team responsible for the Volvo Concept Coupé this isn't just 'another concept car'; it's a manifesto for where the sole remaining Scandinavian car brand is heading. It marks a new dawn for the company by introducing a new platform, range of engines and design language devised by Thomas Ingenlath. Car Design News traveled to Volvo's design studio in Gothenburg to see the car and speak to the team behind it ahead of its official unveiling in Frankfurt.
