Car Design News launches global user survey

We've carried out CDN user surveys before, but this is the first one structured so that we can assess the needs of the different parts of the design community - by discipline, by region, by background, by price point, and more. Jaguar renames and expands its performance driving school

What do you get for the man or woman who has everything, including a 500-hp sports car from Jaguar? If you want to keep them alive we’d suggest the newly renamed Jaguar R Performance Driving Academy. Jaguar renamed its driving school on Tuesday and also expanded it to four locations in the United States this year, offering both basic and advanced courses.

Enthusiast 3D prints an Aston Martin DB4

New Zealand enthusiast Ivan Sentch is in the process of 3D printing a 1961 Aston Martin DB4. Engadget reports that he bought a $499 Solidoodle 3D printer and has been working on this project since December 2012. Using a Nissan Skyline as a donor car, he'll make a fiberglass mold of the print and hopefully transform this thing into a drivable, street-legal car for a fraction of the cost of an authentic DB4.
