Interior Motives Design Awards 2004 announces judging panel

Interior Motives magazine has announced its judging panel for the 2004 Interior Motives Design Awards. This year's judges include some of the world's most respected senior automotive designers and design managers from carmakers and interior suppliers. Lotus announces partnership with Mansory

Group Lotus has announced its new collaboration with Mansory, which will become its official customization studio. The German tuner will be contributing bodywork, trim and special finishes for the Elise, Exige and Evora in yet another controversial strategic decision for the UK company. Lotus confirmed the first fruits of this new partnership will be the unveiling a new model variant at September's Paris motor show, two years after the highly ambitious announcement of five new models of which the first is yet to become reality.

Roads warning as massive transformer is moved

ONE OF THE BIGGEST abnormal loads ever transported on the roads will be trundling across the west of England this weekend - at an average speed of 4mph. The giant transformer, measuring almost 330ft long and weighing around 640 tonnes, will travel the 80 miles between Didcot in Oxfordshire and Avonmouth in Bristol. Police warn the trip will affect roads in Wiltshire, Bath and north-east Somerset and south Gloucestershire between 7pm on Friday and 6pm on Sunday.
