These are the same batteries I use in my BMW key fob repair business when a battery replacement is required. This is the same Panasonic VL2020 battery used on many BMW key fobs (see pictures of the keys below), but, the lead configuration is not identical because the lead configuration that BMW used is not available. The battery will require a little modification and my installation instructions show how to do it.
The Panasonic VL2020 battery was used in all BMW diamond shape keys and almost all BMW keys from 2005 except those with comfort access (comfort access keys have a user replaceable battery). These are the same Panasonic VL2020 batteries as the original, but, please note that the lead configuration used in the BMW key fobs is custom for BMW and not available. This battery is the next closest thing and will required a little modification and adding a wire. Instructions for making it work are included in the form of a web link to my web page with detailed color pictures.

F1 goes all arty with oil: Lewis Hamilton portrait

Mon, 08 Jun 2009

By Peter Adams Motoring Issues 08 June 2009 14:00 It’s not often that the motoring world slickly merges with art, but Mobil 1 has made it happen. US artist David Macaluso has painted a portrait of Lewis Hamilton using oil not from a tube of paint, but from the sump of Hamilton’s F1 car. The oil was taken from Vodafone McLaren Mercedes’ 2008 F1 car – the vehicle that took Hamilton to the world championship last year.

Some say he downloaded his entire browsing history into his right pinky. Some say he linked his Youtube account to his brain and now translates comments into Swahili. All we know is, he's called the Stig.
