Nissan Leaf Revealed – 3 more Electric Cars to come
Wed, 21 Oct 2009The Nissan Leaf revealed at Tokyo Not surprisingly, Carlos Ghosn – Nissan’s boss – has revealed that Nissan are working on a range of electric cars to be released in the next few years. Considering Nissan partners with Renault, and Renault announced something similar at Frankfurt, it’s not a huge shock toi the system that yet another car maker is going to churn out a range of EVs. First up is the Leaf, with Nissan aiming to launch an electric version of their NV200 van later in 2010.
De Tomaso assets being brokered
Wed, 07 Jan 2009The De Tomaso brand and factory are up for grabs It’s true to say that the De Tomaso brand, probably the most significant of the unused Italian Supercar Marques, has been hawked round the world for years. De Tomaso was, for a time, a great blend of Italian style and American muscle, but it lost its way badly many years ago and, despite a few attempts to resurrect it, De Tomaso has been off the scene for a long time now.
Porsche 918 Spyder to get 875bhp to take on McLaren P1 & LaFerrari
Tue, 02 Apr 2013The Porche 918 Spyder – Porsche’s hybrid supercar – is to get a power boost and go on a diet to better compete with the McLaren P1 and LaFerrari. But the duo of hybrid supercars at Geneva will become a trio at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September when the Porsche 918 Spyder gets revealed in final production form before heading for a select group of customers in 2014. It does seem to have taken Porsche quite a while to get the 918 Spyder in production-ready guise but it seems they may have been waiting to see what McLaren and Ferrari had up their collective sleeves before settling on a production specification for the 918 Spyder.
