This is a Genuine 3M Scotchgard Pro Series Paint Protection Film / clear bra bulk material roll that you can cut to fit almost any smooth painted surface.  Typical areas to be covered are the leading edge of the hood, fenders, splash areas, doors, tailgates, gas filler areas, motorcycle tanks & fairings, RV's, campers, and the list goes on! 

 

The film is a durable 8 mil (.008") adhesive backed 3M urethane - the industry benchmark - that is applied to the front of the vehicle much the same way that window tint and vinyl graphics are applied. 3M’s newest material – Scotchgard Pro Series, has a revolutionary scratch resistant self healing top layer to seal out road grim and keep a beautiful shine just like the rest of your paint. Scotchgard Pro Series is more elastic, more compliant, clearer, and easier to apply than the standard Scotchgard Paint Protection Film! The choice for serious pros is now available for you too!

 

This is the brand new Genuine 3M Scotchgard Pro Series. It is not a "3M style / like" imitation, it is the real deal! Neither is it an expired closeout, it is fresh current production. Nor is it a non-automotive grade version that may or may not be made by 3M and is not made to automotive standards. We tried some of the aviation grade material and it turned yellow within a month… Make sure what you are looking at for your vehicle is the real deal, not some knock off. 

 

This is the same material used by professionals. The clear, tough film helps protect against everyday road hazards that can damage and destroy your vehicle's paint finish, such as; gravel, winter road salt/sand, bug stains, and road debris.

  • Johnson and Johnson Baby Shampoo
  • Squeegee - 'Yellow Turbo' Preferred (available in our store) of flexible bondo style hard card
  • Scissors / snap off knife to cut the material

Q. Are all 3M 'clear bras' the same?
A. No, Unfortunately there are a few sellers selling 3M sign over laminate (a clear material designed to protect a flat vinyl sign) and calling it 3M paint protection. It is NOT paint protection and is NOT a clear bra. If the price seems too good to be true and / or the description is not very specific, buyer beware. 

Q. What about the 3M material from international sellers?
A. 3M is a global company and has a number of formulations depending on the specific environment of the country. ie in Canada the material 3M sells is not coated / sealed. This makes it possible to apply the material in much colder temperatures - a necessity in Canada - but also changes performance is a sunnier more southern environment. This, among others, is a driving factor for 3M blocking the export of their 3M paint protection materials by authorized resellers.

Q. Is this the current generation of 3M Scotchgard Pro Series Paint Protection Film / How old is it?
A. An important question!  All our materials are current 3M offerings and usually only a matter of a few months old - from the time 3M made the material to the time you get it. We have very fast materials turnover insuring you the freshest possible material!

Q. What is the shelf life of 3M Scotchgard Pro Series Paint Protection Film?
A. 3M states the material must be applied within 12 Months of production. An important reason to know how old the material you are buying is.

Q. Is it removable?

A. Yes, you can remove it at any time without harming your vehicles finish.  It is however a one-time use product, you cannot re-install it after the adhesive has set.

 

Q. Can I wash and wax my vehicle with the bra installed?

A. Yes, you can and should wash and wax as normal, paying particular attention to the edges of course. Waxing will help to seal the surface and increase its life expectancy.  

 

Q. Do you have a thicker version of this available?

A. No, 3M does not have a thicker version of this material.

 

Q. Can you export them?

A. No. 3M does not allow the exportation of their Scotchgard Paint Protection material sorry.

 

Q. I was shopping other eBay listings and when I was checking all the sellers feedback numbers I noticed some sellers had items were listed as Private and the feedback was Private. Should I be worried?

A. From our perspective, as a long time eBay seller, they are both red flags of warning, especially if the price seems too good to be true! We feel that hiding what we are selling or hiding our feedback would seem deceptive. In the end it is up to you are the buyer to decide.

We ship all of our orders out via USPS Priority Mail and Express Mail. Priority Mail provides a 2-3 day in transit time on average. Express Mail provides a 1-2 day in transit time on average. Please allow 1 day of order processing, though we try and ship on the same day that the order was placed.  We ship orders Monday through Friday, with USPS making deliveries Monday-Saturday.

New Ford Kuga production increased to meet strong demand

Ford has revealed that it having to increase production of the new Kuga by 10 per cent at its Valencia Plant to meet strong demand. We reported in February that Ford were chuffed with sales of the new Kuga - especially as almost all buyers were opting for ‘premium’ versions – with orders for almost 2,000 in the UK just weeks after the Kuga went in to production in Spain, and sales across Europe for the Kuga up 27 per cent year on year. So Ford is now doing the only thing they can to deal with the burgeoning sales of the Kuga and are upping production in Valencia by 10 per cent, and now expect to build 100,000 new Kugas this year for Europe alone.

MSN went to soak up the atmosphere at Nissan’s HQ in Yokohama on the outskirts of Tokyo and speak to the management. “Developing the GT-R is an act of passion and a driver of innovation”, so declared Nissan’s overall boss Carlos Ghosn (bottom left) after he was driven on stage by record-breaking driver Michael Krumm at the exclusive reveal of its GT-R supercar in Yokohama.

Audi to be honored at Goodwood

Audi celebrates its 100th anniversary this year, and it's taking the party to this summer's Goodwood Festival of Speed. The German automaker is making big plans to celebrate its centennial this July at the Goodwood House in England, where it will be the featured marque. Audi says Jacky Ickx and Allan McNish will be there to drive.
