Description: This wiring harness is a newer used replacement made 05/06/2000 with up-graded wiring insulation.

The original wiring harness was made to be biodegradable. The insulation around the wires would crack and fall off causing the bare wires to short or ground out. This was a common problem on most all Mercedes made from 1992 -1996. Mercedes Delphi wiring harness made after 1996 have the up-graded non-biodegradable insulation on the wires and will last the life of the car.

Condition: Great. All worn out connections have been replaced.
Harness is ready to install, No cracking wiring insulation or damaged electrical connectors.

Feds look at Toyota electronics as source of accelerator defects

The U.S. Department of Transportation is looking into whether Toyota Motor Corp.'s problems with unintended acceleration can be traced to defects in the electrical controls rather than just the mechanical problems cited by the automaker, a Transportation official said Tuesday. “We're not finished with Toyota and are continuing to review possible defects and monitor the implementation of the recalls,” Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood said in a statement.
