The Skytronic 150 Watt 12V power inverter connects either directly to the car or boat battery with the supplied jumper leads or to an in-car cigarette lighter. The Skytronic 150W 12 Volt Power Inverter has a 3 pin UK power socket and has a continuous maximum power output of 150 Watts. The unit connects the cigarette lighter the maximum output will be 150 Watts. The unit can manage up to 450 watts for short periods of time, this accounts for the start up surge that you get with many appliances. What Can I Use It With? Everything with a rating of 150W or below. This would include most portable TVs, notebook computers, battery chargers, video cameras, portable hi-fis, electric shavers etc. This is a modified sine wave inverter, so is ideal for everything except capacitive loads (such as fluorescent lighting), for these it would be best to use a pure sine wave inverter. 'Defective tyre' prosecutions top 10,000

MORE THAN 170 motorists were convicted every week in 2012 for driving on defective or even dangerous tyres. The figures, obtained by tyre safety charity TyreSafe as part of its efforts to improve awareness during Tyre Safety Month, show that 10,228 drivers were taken to court over their tyres. As rain becomes a more regular fixture for most motorists up and down the country, following an unusually dry summer, tyre tread depth and pressure become even more important.

Gert Hildebrand, former General Manager of Mini Design, was appointed Head of Design at Qoros Auto in January this year. In his new role, Hildebrand is responsible for overseeing a regeneration of the existing design and styling processes at the joint venture company, a collaboration between Qoros and Israel Corporation, which was founded in 2007. One of many high level designers making the transition to China, Hildebrand is is currently tasked with leading the creation of the new Qoros brand, which was unveiled at a presentation in Shanghai last week.
