As with most of these Stop/Go systems, a good fuel saving can be made, particularly in town driving and, importantly for companies striving to meet emissions targets, a reduction in running time means an overall reduction in emissions. In town driving the savings on the Cee’d are around 15%, but drop to 6% overall. Still, it all helps.

Rolls-Royce puts dragons on Phantoms for the Chinese New Year

Rolls-Royce is commemorating the 2012 Chinese New Year with a Year of the Dragon Collection of limited-edition Phantoms boasting dragon-themed detailing. The Bespoke design team at Rolls-Royce drew inspiration from the dragon of the Chinese zodiac--symbolizing power, prosperity and good fortune--for which this year will be named. A collection of Phantoms will be detailed as follows.

Infiniti has recruited Simon Cox as design director at its Infiniti Design London studio, which is currently Nissan Design Europe. He will report directly to Infiniti executive design director Alfonso Albaisa. The new appointment comes as Infiniti attempts to evolve its design strategy by establishing new dedicated design studios, of which the London Paddington studio is the first.
