Audi is hinting at a performance flagship iteration of its entry-level Q3 soft-roader with this: the RS Q3 concept. It's only a design study for now, but the spec is very close to being production-ready... What makes this Audi Q3 worthy of an RS badge? Largely the same application of ingredients that Audi has favoured with the RS5 and RS3.

It's going to happen sooner than we though -- the machines are going to take over. No need to jump in your car and drive to your uncle's fallout shelter where he's been stockpiling expired cans of tomato soup, though, at least not just yet. The machines in question are Volvos (pretty benign, right?), and the place they'll be taking over is Volvo's home town of Gothenburg, Sweden.

Ferrari World Design Contest 2011 enters second phase

The Ferrari World Design Contest, launched in collaboration with Autodesk, has just completed the first phase of its selection process. With entries from over 50 international design schools, the contest saw more than 200 projects arrive at the supercar manufacturer's studios in Maranello. Seven design schools have now been selected as finalists.
