170° PERFORMANCE THERMOSTAT

This premium thermostat has a larger heat motor/spring assembly for more precise temperature control along with a heavy gauge chrome plated steel housing. 100% made in the USA.

This auction is for a Reische FORD-4S 170° thermostat for the Ford Modular SOHC 4.6/5.4/6.2L V8 only. It fits the 2010-2013 F-150 SVT Raptor, 2007-2010 Mustang GT & 1996-2004 Mustang GT & Bullitt, 1999-2004 Lightning & Harley Davidson F150 plus most other Ford 4.6L & 5.4L SOHC apps like the 1992-2011 Crown Victoria and 97-11 E/F-Series. You can use our APPLICATION GUIDE to be sure this unit fits your vehicle or go to ReischePerformance.com for test data and more specific information about this unit. THIS THERMOSTAT DOES NOT FIT YOUR VEHICLE if you own a Shelby GT500, Cobra, Mach 1, 05-06 Mustang GT, new 5.0L Mustang GT or any other 4.6L DOHC (32V) vehicle!  Please go directly to our site: ReischePerformance.com to purchase thermostats designed specifically for those applications.

Beware of aftermarket companies who sell the same thermostat for all Ford modular engines. Reische Performance thermostats are the only ones specifically designed to precisely fit each application, making them the best performing low temp units on the market! Whether you are using an aftermarket radiator or not these units will provide the best possible coolant temps and heat dissipation from your setup along with reduced warm up times and better cold weather performance when compared to a thermostat with holes drilled in the diaphragm. We believe the 170° opening temp is the ideal balance for high performance engines, providing high flow to your radiator by mid-180 temps while still maintaining a decent level of all season performance. With proper fan settings your cruising temps in cool weather will be in the 170s and in hot weather the 180s, giving those running high levels of timing and/or boost added protection against engine-damaging detonation as well as maximum power output.

All Reische thermostats ship with a new O-ring, coolant ratio/additive recommendations and specific fan settings for popular handheld programmers. Thermostats are guaranteed and will be replaced free of charge if a failure occurs within one year of your purchase.

The New Jaguar XE final video tease (probably)

Thu, 04 Sep 2014

The New Jaguar XE final video tease (probably) Jaguar has been working hard to build excitement for the new XE – effectively a replacement for the old X-Type to take on the might of Audi, Mercedes and BMW in the compact saloon sector – and we’ve had no end of teases in the last few months. But now, with the debut of the Jaguar XE in a marketing extravaganza in London on Monday (8 September) Jaguar has released what we expect will be the final tease for the new XE. What we get is a 15 second overview of Jaguar’s current cars, interspersed with snippets of views of the new XE and a sound track that seems to include the exhaust note of the new XE too.

Chrysler vows to rebuild SRT

Mon, 27 Jun 2011

Ralph Gilles promises that Chrysler Group will be "very choosy" about the cars and trucks that get the SRT performance badge. Gilles, recently named head of SRT, is charged with rebuilding the SRT unit, which languished when Chrysler was owned by Cerberus Capital Management. Three new SRT vehicles, versions of the Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300 sedans and the Jeep Grand Cherokee, will arrive in dealerships this fall, joining the Challenger SRT8.

Mercedes SLS AMG (2009): official photos and sketches

Wed, 08 Apr 2009

By Ben Pulman First Official Pictures 08 April 2009 09:55 These are the first interior photos and exterior design sketches of Mercedes’ SLS AMG, the 563bhp gullwing-door successor to the SLR that will be unveiled at the Frankfurt motor show in September 2009.  The official sketch reveals a bold grille with – you guessed it – the three-pointed star hogging centre stage, sweptback headlamps (Nissan GTR, anyone?), deeply scalloped side gills and a low, pillarbox-style glasshouse. Not forgetting, of course, the gullwing doors that ape the 1950s original. That it’s a mixture of unique fixtures and fittings, plus a couple of disappointing parts lifted from lesser Mercs.
