CCS Ford Model T projectFri, 13 Jun 2008This past semester, eleven junior-level College for Creative Studies (CCS) Transportation Design students were asked to reinterpret an automotive icon: the Ford Model T. Over the course of the 16-week semester the students created 11 different concepts for a Model T for the future without forgetting the underlying principle - creating an icon that would have equal significance and social impact like the 100 year old original. On April 30 each of the students presented their research, sketches, renderings and one- quarter scale models judged by Peter Horbury, Ford Executive Director of Design, The Americas and Pat Schiavone, Ford's Design Director for North America Trucks and CUVs. The winning concept, which the judges thought best embodied the spirit, innovation and sociological impact equal to that of the original Model T, was created by Dong Tran, of Cicero, New York. Top Gear answers critics of Electric Car Test. Again.Wed, 03 Aug 2011Nissan LEAF runs out of electrickery in Lincoln on the Top Gear Test Top Gear and Electric Cars do have a habit of not getting on. And they didn’t get on in the latest Top Gear test when Jeremy (in a Nissan LEAF) and James (in a Peugeot iOn) set out to demonstrate the shortcomings of EVs, the same shortcomings we we bang on about constantly. The piece by Andy Wilman on Top Gear’s site is in response to an article in the Times, where Nissan complain that ‘…‘Clarkson didn’t give our electric cars a sporting chance.’ But he did, with the Top Gear piece designed to do nothing more than debunk the claims companies like Nissan make for their electric cars. Aston Martin Rapide – the PhotosWed, 04 Nov 2009Huge gallery of Aston Martin Rapide Photos It took Aston Martin an age to bring the Aston Martin Rapide from concept to the road. And it seems to have taken them almost as long to get round to doing some decent pictures of the Rapide. But they’ve finally got round to doing it, and have sent us a huge gallery of images of the new 4-door coupe. 2040Parts.com © 2012-2024. All Rights Reserved.
