Original 1940 Ford truck tail gate. Why have a reproduction tail gate when you can have a very nice original tail gate. This is important to a faithful restoration. This tailgate has both the Ford script but also the V8 designation...a rare and increasingly difficult prospect to locate an original, CLEAN, OEM tailgate from a 1940 Ford truck. I believe that this will fit a 1938 to 1940 Ford truck's but do your own fitment research.I am open to a reasonable offer, but honestly, this is not yard art or man cave hanger material. If all you can do is low ball me, don't bother please. I know what those are selling for and this isn't that. A Re-Pop tailgate is $295, you want that, by all means go buy it. This is a nice original gate worth reasonable money.  If you have any questions, please look at the photo's and if they do not answer your concerns, you may contact me at 707-307-3506. I will ship within 3 days of receipt of payment by way of Fed Ex Ground. Review the photo's and make sure of fitment before you bid. I will not leave any feedback until the buyer leaves positive feedback. Thanks for looking and good luck.

Grand National Roadster Show takes on new judging rules, rodding wins

Mon, 31 Jan 2011

Daryl Wolfswinkel's 1934 Ford, built by Doug Jerger of Squeeg's Kustoms in Chandler, Ariz., won the title America's Most Beautiful Roadster on Sunday at the Grand National Roadster Show at the Fairplex in Pomona, Calif. That in itself was not necessarily the biggest news out of Pomona last weekend, however. In a hobby/passion/love affair such as hot-rodding, you'd expect a '32, '33 or '34 Ford to win.

Cars 2 Premiere: A closer look at Finn, Holley and Rod

Fri, 24 Jun 2011

Cars 2, which opens on Friday, stands to be one of the top box-office hits of the summer. Many of our favorite characters are back, such as Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater, but there are also a bunch of new rides rolling onto the big screen. Some, like Grem the Gremlin and Acer the Pacer, take obvious inspiration from real cars.

One Lap of the Web: The lost F-Type, a velvet Panamera and Lutz on being king

Tue, 30 Apr 2013

We spend a lot of time on the Internet -- pretty much whenever we're not driving, writing about or working on cars. Since there's more out there than we'd ever be able to cover, here's our daily digest of car stuff on the Web you may not otherwise have heard about. -- Long before there was a Jaguar F-Type, there was the XJ41, originally conceived to be a lightweight successor to the XKE.
