CDN-GM/PATAC Interactive Design Contest 2013 launched

According to Bryan Nesbitt, Vice President of Design at GM International Operations, "We are excited about the potential regarding a China-dedicated competition. Design is the initial product differentiator in the automotive retail space, so demand for top design talent will continue." BMW M3 coupe gets stripped down to go club racing
Thu, 05 Nov 2009BMW's M division is back in the business of building specialty street-legal race cars with a new lightweight version of the M3 called the GTS. The lightweight coupe, set to go on sale in early 2010 at a yet-undisclosed price, was conceived as a limited-edition model primarily for club-based racing in much the same way that Porsche builds the 911 GT3 Clubsport. But in a clear effort to link its track-based activities with the production-car side of its business, BMW's M division is offering the new car with a homologation package that will allow customers to register the M3 GTS for street use.
Toyota recalls 2011 Tundras for drive-shaft safety issue
Tue, 26 Apr 2011Toyota is voluntarily recalling about 51,000 copies of the 2011 Tundra pickup to screen for a rear drive-shaft issue. Improper metal casting could cause part of the shaft to break, Toyota said. So far, Toyota is aware of one such occurrence in a customer-owned vehicle.
