This AUCTION is for the NOS 1939 MERCURY TRUNK LID HANDLE shown.   It is in new condition with a few light scratches from spending 75 years in the dealer's parts bin and will fit all models of these car.  The little flipper cover over the lock hole is in perfect condition and fits snugly.   This handle has part number 99A-7043500 and has never been installed on a vehicle.  These NOS handles do not come with the lock cylinder as the factory expected these to be used to replace collision damaged handles where the lock cylinder would be transferred to the new handle.   It is being offered at a very low price.   Please let me prepare invoice with lowest cost shipping choice before sending in payment as Ebay calculated shipping charges are usually too high.  International bidders please contact me for an estimate of shipping costs.  Sales tax will be added to all items delivered within California.   Contact me for more information on other shipping options.   Please use the Ebay feature "Ask Seller A Question"  if you  need further info.

Strangely for a car that invented what we know today as the options and accessories list, you can only choose the colour (white or blue) and whether to have a manual or automatic transmission. Every other options box is ticked, while extra chrome highlights, louvered rear windows and a faux rear filler cap are exclusive to this birthday edition.

Alfa Romeo future products: 4C, Giulia lead return to U.S. market

Sergio Marchionne, CEO of Fiat and Chrysler Group, says Alfa Romeo will return to the United States in late 2012. But if he makes the deadline, just a few units of the 4C limited-edition coupe would be on sale. Alfa's full return is now planned in mid-2013, about a half-year later than Marchionne's most recent timetable, with a compact crossover.

Ford has released first details of the new C-Max which will debut at Frankfurt Ford has released some detail of the new C-Max, which is the first car from Ford to use the next generation Ford Focus platform, and will come as either a five or seven seat car. Not only will the new C-Segment platform be used here in the C-Max, but it will also see use in not just the next generation Focus, but also in the eventual replacement for the Ford Kuga. The C-Max will very sensibly stick with the multi-link rear suspension that has given the current generation Focus such great driving dynamics, and it will also feature Ford’s 1.6 litre Ecoboost engine, which is equipped with a turbo and direct injection for improved economy and efficiency.
