Appears from our research this to be 1940 1941 1942 Chrysler GLASS Tail Light Reflector which would sit top of the Tail Light Assembly either right or left tail light.  Lengthy research has not produced any part number for us on this Reflector.

This was presented to us some time ago as a Reflector for 1946 1947 or 1948 Chrysler Tail Light.  Of course that was wrong as the 1946-48 Chrysler tail light reflectors were plastic as far as we have ever seen and held in the back by a kind of spring metal outside star locking washer that is pressed in behind the lens.  As any real plastic lenses were the product of plastics invention during the second world was, these with real glass were pretty much used pre-war most likely early 1940s.  There were some similar reflectors appear like 1937 1938 1939 Chrysler DeSoto Dodge or Plymouth so might also be applicable, we just don't have any information on these other than Chrysler
I have had one other of this type (glass reflector) in hand that mounted with kind of spring ears that sort of allowed you to twist the Reflector Assembly into the Reflector opening.  Not sure if that model would have been earlier or later than this one with the bracket/nut installation, I'd think the spring model likely the later.  Oddly enough the 1946-48 version is listed as MOPAR/Chrylser Part (P/N) # "1163607 BUTTON, Tail Lamp Reflector, Assembly.  Not sure why the 1946-48 reflector would have been considered an "assembly" except that P/N might have included the lens and the star-lock mount washer.  Also seems I have seen these 1946-48 original plastic reflector lenses deteriorating, bleaching to clear and then sort of separating as though there was a clear inner and then a red outer layer possibly originally bonded together.
Including here is what we have found even on the 1946-48 Reflector Assembly because I am not absolutely sure of this application and we just can't find absolute identification/descriptions and we don't have an original 1940-1942 Chrysler Tail Light Assembly on hand for direct comparison.  Anyone with better description is perfect welcome to help.

Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo is a good looking Panamera: Paris 2012

Sun, 30 Sep 2012

Porsche has revealed their estate / shooting brake take on the Panamera – the Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo – and it looks good. No longer does the Panamera have a dog shagging back end, it’s now sleek and swooping. The front end gets a slicker makeover too – which probably gives us a taste of the Panamera facelift to come – and the whole car looks cohesive and appealing.
