You are bidding on an WWII War era Overhaul Manual, Part No 46966 for the TWIN WASP C SERIES ENGINES by Pratt and Whitney Aircraft. This manual is about 380 pages comprised of many detailed folded/pull-out diagrams and detailed lithographs showing and illustrating the different parts of the engine and how to service and dismantle or build the engines. It says that it was revised in July, 1942.
The Table of contents list the various chapters as: I. Disassembly of Engine into Sub-Assemblies; II. Disassembly of Sub-Assemblies; III. Cleaning; IV. INSPECTION; V. Repair and Assembly of Sub-Assemblies; VI. Assembly of Engines; VII. Run-in of Engines After Overhaul; VIII. Preparation of Engine After Run-In; IX. Carburetors; X. Magnetos; XI. Ignition Wire Manifold and Radio Shielding; XII. Fuel Pumps; XIII. Spark Plugs; XIV. Automatic Oil Temperature Control; XV. Gun Synchronizer; APPENDIX which includes Tightening Torque Recommendations, Table of Clearances and Charts for Tables of Clearances and Lubrication Diagrams. As you can see and as you probably know, these manuals are very complete with all of those detailed diagrams that I mentioned above. This manual is housed in a heavy duty folder that is in good shape as you may be able to see from the first two pictures. The condition of the inside pages are excellent with the exception of the first page which shows bug damage and slight foxing. The first couple of pages have slight damage but only to the very outer margin. Most of the rest of the pages appear to be in great shape with maybe one or two showing some smudging, etc. Overall it is in great shape for its age. 80% of drivers don't care about emissions

This stark admission from the nation’s drivers follows a survey that also found 65% of Britain’s motorists don’t know their VED (Vehicle Excise Duty), or road tax, is calculated on the carbon dioxide emissions of their car. Many drivers think their road tax is worked out based on the size of engine in their car.
