Hello and Thank you for looking at this Auction.

I have for sale a complete set of Interior metal garnish/trim pieces for a 1946/47/48 Dodge D-24 4 door sedan with the suicide rear doors.

NO, THIS WILL NOT WORK ON... the town sedan (rear doors are not suicide), the limo (rear doors are longer), or the 2 door cars (rear doors are absent).   

Will they work on a Plymouth or a Chrysler or a Desoto?  I don't know.  They came off a Dodge D24.  It's up to you to make sure.

These pieces have been removed of all accessories, (wing window glass, chrome trim, knobs, etc) stripped down to bare metal, filled in where they were pitted, and repainted in the original style woodgrain through a rigorous 11 step painting process.  They will be wrapped and gently packaged so they come to you damage free.

Included in this COMPLETE set is 12 pieces...

Front Window Inside Wrap-around Trim/Garnish
Front Window Center Strip  (this is the piece where the two front panes of glass meet, and the rear view bolts to)
Rear View Mirror
Dashboard, bare, nothing but the metal dashboard.
Glovebox Door, bare, but with hinges Chrome and clock are removed.
Both Front Door Window Trims/Garnish with chrome strip, NO vent window glass.
Both Rear Door Window Trims/Garnish with chrome strip
Both Rear Side Window Trims/Garnish with chrome strip, but NO vent window glass.
Rear Window Inside Wrap-around Trim/Garnish

IF YOU WANT THEM...I can include the Front Door Vent Windows glass and frame and the Rear Side Window Vent Windows glass and frame.  There are not in the best of shape, glass is broken and the chrome is pitted and rusty, but maybe some parts are salvageable for you? Swivel, handle, etc?

All four of the doors' roll up window glass was broken or otherwise unuseable.

FOR AN EXTRA PRICE, I can include any remaining Glovebox/Dash chrome trim pieces that have not been sold already.  I can send you a photo of those pieces.

This particular set that you are bidding on comes from my dad's personal '47 D24 Custom.  As you may well be aware, the door window trim pieces are a little more elaborate than the Deluxe by sporting some additional chrome (and you WILL GET those chrome pieces that go on the window trim).  The pictures of the repainted pieces in the ad represent the level of detail in the woodgrained paint, but those trim pieces went on my 46 Deluxe. So the pictures are NOT the set you will be getting, but the level of detail and professionalism are the same. I have included some 'before' photos of the pieces you are bidding on, and if i can come up with them, I will get 'after' shots of the pieces you are bidding on.

This set is the perfect addition to any restoration project.  Painting woodgrain is becoming a lost art.  Be the owner of the car everyone flocks to at car shows!

AND, JUST IN CASE...

If your car is not a 46 or 47 or 48 or a Dodge, or it is not a 4 door, but if you have all the pieces, we can strip them down and repaint them for a very reasonable price.  Contact us with your questions and details.  Essentially you send us the pieces and we'll prep and paint them for you and send them back.

SHIPPING...

I prefer you pick it up from me in Grass Lake MI, This way, when you get here, if you don't like them, I'll give you your money back.  BUT if you live within 300 miles of Grass Lake, MI, I'm willing to meet you halfway (150 miles) between my house and your house and give them to you for free, provided you pay the final auction price in full.  Beyond 300 miles, I will ship them to you FOR FREE. 

HOWEVER,  if you are an International Man of Bidding, I will have to charge you actual price. 

These are some awkward sizes and shapes, but I will do my best to prevent damage and get them to you quickly.
