IMPORTANT: There is absolutely no shipping of any of these motors- I am not near any truck depots and have tried UPS and found they are only good at breaking motors.
MOTOR DESCRIPTION:
Here for your bidding pleasure is a 1946 or 1947 (post War) Evinrude Model 4731 SPORTWIN 3.3 horsepower opposed cylinder format outboard motor! This one is in original condition with the only missing part being the carburetor knob. I have provided a (different) period carburetor with the same exact knob on it and all that needs to be done is drive a tiny pin (that holds it on) out and install the knob on the Sportwin. This is a nice looking original motor that pulls over with good compression. I don’t see any reason why this cannot be tinkered back into a good running motor once again. I have owned this one for a couple of weeks and not had any time to do anything with it other than give it a once over checking for basic completeness and basic mechanical / cosmetic condition. A nice thing about this era of Evinrudes is that the EVINRUDE signature is embossed on the fuel tank- no decals!! NO RESERVE!!
