This is a used rear bottom seat cushion for the 1949-52 2 door sedans. It will not fit a fastback, or coupe. The bottom tabs that mount it to the floor are in different locations and will not line up. The cushion is in great shape. It has a light even coating of surface rust but the metal is all very solid with no structural rust problems.

It is in an oversize category so shipping is $70. It can be shipped by FedEx, or can be shipped by Greyhound bus (you would need to pick it up at the station nearest to you). Or you can pick it up near Wichita KS.

I also have a pair of patina blue doors and front fenders from this car.

Mercedes ML63 AMG gets a tweak

Thu, 10 Jun 2010

The very slightly tweaked 2011 Mercedes ML63 AMG Somehow, the Mercedes ML63 AMG doesn’t quite make it in to our heads when we thing of barking mad, ‘too powerful for their own good’ SUVs. Top of that list is filled by the Porsche Cayenne Turbo with the BMW X5M and X6M bringing up the reserve position. But we should consider it.

So what’s the big news with the new 2012 Mercedes SL then?

Bentley SUV (Bentley Falcon) to get completely new design – EXP 9 F scrapped

Sat, 02 Feb 2013

Car & Driver are reporting that Bentley’s new Design chief - Luc Donckerwolke – is scrapping the Bentley SUV Concept and starting again. Despite the less than friendly response to the Bentley SUV, Bentley went on to show it at both the Beijing Motor Show and Pebble Beach but made it clear that the SUV was just a concept; a work in progress. But the arrival of Luc Donckerwolke as Bentley’s Chief Designer appears to have signalled the end of the EXP 9 F concept completely, with Car and Driver reporting that Donckerwolke isn’t overseeing a tinkering with the EXP 9 F Concept, but is scrapping it altogether.
