Safety (?) latch area damaged, donor photo
Part Brand:Lincoln Surface Finish:rusty Placement on Vehicle:Front

Offered is a hood latch panel removed from a 1949 "Baby" Lincoln.  Please see last photo for before removal photo.

Damage to Hand/Safety (?) latch area  (Please see photos 4-6) Latch & bracket are messed up and torn... and actual panel, on lower edge, is also torn....spring is OK.  Not sure if this latch is all there or even what it looked like coming out of the factory. If someone knows perhaps it can be straightened out and TIGed or suppose, as a last resort, could be removed all together.  Damage does not extend beyond the three tears (pic 4-6) in the hand release/safety latch area.

Actual remote (cabled) hood latch/release mechanism works fine but appears worn at the clasping plate business surface.

Panel is 28-3/8 inches along its upper edge.

Please allow 3 business days for extra shipping time.  (Special trip has to be made to drop off at Fed-ex pick-up location)

May have few other parts from this donor.  Hood dash panel heater core duct work etc..

Will do my best to answer any questions or concerns and thank you for looking...

We also saw the final trailer for the Oscar-worthy “Fast and Furious 6.” On Tuesday, we checked out the McLaren P1 testing in the Arctic and saw the cars of the upcoming “Grand Theft Auto V” video game, which included pickup trucks, supercar clones and motorcycles. Midweek, we reviewed the 2013 Ford C-Max Hybrid and found that the 2014 Lexus IS will only cost $885 more than this year’s.

Double Oh My! James Bond Aston Martin sells for $4.6 million

Thu, 28 Oct 2010

Perhaps the single most breathtaking car of the fall auction season, a 1964 Aston Martin DB5--better known as the James Bond car--sold for $4.61 million to Ohio collector Harry Yeaggy on Wednesday at the RM Auctions Automobiles of London sale. The Aston was expected to sell for more than $5 million, and the sale fell a bit short of that, registering a final bid of 2.6 million British pounds, or $4,114,760. Buyer's premiums raise the total sale price to $4.61 million.
