2012 Mercedes A-Class: First Sketch

Tue, 15 Mar 2011

Mercedes A-Class - First Sketch This may well be the first sketch of the 2012 Mercedes A-Class, but with the 2012 A-Class likely to surface at the Shanghai Motor Show next month it seems highly likely we’re in for a run of ‘leaked’ information on the new baby Mercedes. This sketch of the 2012 A-Class is supposed to have ‘leaked’ from Mercedes, but we rather sense the antics of Mercedes PR. Which is exactly what you’d expect with a major launch at a major motor show looming.

Subaru BRZ: The Video

Thu, 01 Dec 2011

Subaru BRZ Video With the Subaru BRZ officially debuting at this week’s Toyota Motor Show, Subaru has released a video of the BRZ on the move. It’s hard not to feel a bit let down by the Subaru BRZ. Perhaps the quote attributed to Subaru that the BRZ would get ‘less than 300bhp’ was lost in translation, but the fact the BRZ comes with just three horses more than its cousin the Toyota FT-86 just leaves a feeling of disappointment.

Peugeot Citroen idles Slovak factory over falling orders

Thu, 20 Oct 2011

PSA to halt production of 207 & C3 Picasso in Slovakia The news that Peugeot Citroen (PSA) is to suspend production at its factory in Trnava, Western Slovakia, as orders for cars fall away, is another sign of the impending gloom in the Euro zone car industry. PSA has revealed that the Trnava factory – which produces the Peugeot 207 and Citroen C3 Picasso – will be shut from October 28th to November 18th (a period which does include two bank holidays) as orders start to fall away and production exceeds demand. But this announcement seems to be the tip of the iceberg for PSA’s factory closures.
