Here is a used oil dipstick we recently acquired in a large batch of classic car parts. It was sitting in an oil pan along with a bunch of pistons and rods, and the oil pan had 51 Ford V-8 written on the side of it, so we are assuming that is what this dipstick came from. If I am wrong about that please let me know so I can correct my mistake. It is very dirty, but under the dirt it appears to be in very good condition. Ford is about to find out as part of a marketing effort for the car, which got new V6 and V8 powertrains for the 2011 model year. Ford thinks it can do at least 1,000 laps of the half-mile track at Bristol.
