Please read this whole write up. This is a nice solid rear bumper from a 1954 Cadillac Series 62. The bumper has not been rotted or hit. All of the factory welds are intact. Why is this important ? This is a 62 year old part. If you restore cars you know that there are nice parts and salvaged parts. I just bought a rechromed bumper for my 1954 Cadillac, only to find that the bumper was not prepped properly. The license plate bracket was rotted. Somebody had too high of a heat setting and burned through the bracket portion when welding the bracket. All of it was fixable. But, they rechromed the bumper as is. Go figure. I put the bumper on my car for now and I am selling my original clean bumper. This bumper I am selling was cleaned up and sprayed with chrome paint a couple of years ago. The paint is now worn. However, It is a perfect core for a rechrome. If I do not sell this bumper I will eventually rechrome it and replace the rechromed bumper that is on my car now. Whether you buy my bumper or someone else's make sure that you know that the bumper has been prepped properly. I bought mine off ebay. It looks good. But, it will need to be redone at some point due to the area behind the bumper not being prepared properly. Ask any questions if you have a need for this part. Mercedes planning more Coupe SUVs to add to the BMW X6 challenging MLC
Wed, 30 Apr 2014The Mercedes Concept Coupe SUV (pictured) looks to be just the first in a range of Coupe SUVs No one can be in any doubt that the Mercedes Concept Coupe SUV we saw revealed at the Beijing Motor Show earlier this month will turn in to a ‘coupe’ version of the ML, probably as the Mercedes MLC. What’s also clear is that the MLC is designed to steal a chunk of the market BMW has created for big, lifestyle, coupe SUVs with the X6; take away the Mercedes badge and the Concept Coupe SUV could preview the next generation X6. But with BMW taking their X6 formula and applying it to the X3 – creating the X6 on a boil-wash X4 – Mercedes aren’t going to sit back and let BMW create another lifestyle coupe SUV without responding.

Wed, 10 Nov 2010The Lamborghini Conquisto SUV Concept (by Belgian designer David Cardoso) This is an old chestnut that crops up every month or four – Lamborghini to make new SUV – probably because Lamborghini already has an SUV in its history with the frankly other-world LMoo2. Still, with Lamborghini now very much a part of the VW Group (what happened to the revival of Auto Union as a group name?) there’s starting to be more credence to the guesswork. This time it’s Auto Express doing some guesswork (industry insider said…) and they reckon that Lamborghini are going to take the underpinnings of the Porsche Cajun (which is basically the same as the Q5), shove in the new 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 currently being developed jointly by Audi and Bentley and call it the Lamborghini LM00X (or LM003 or LM004 or LM005…).
174-mph Volkswagen Golf R400 heads for Beijing motor show

Said to preview a possible limited production model from Volkswagen's increasingly active R performance car division, the Golf R400 runs a powered-up version of the Golf R's turbocharged 2.0-liter direct-injection gasoline engine aimed at providing it with the sort of firepower to match the current king of the Euro hot hatchback brigade, the Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG. VW The VW Golf R400 makes 395 hp from a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine.
