Provides comprehensive review of automobile including: Vital Statistics (top speed, acceleration performance, engine vitals, list price, etc…), Behind the Wheel driving impressions, Vehicle Dimensions, Development Milestones, Under the Skin engine and chassis review, Nose to Nose performance comparison to rival vehicles, etc, etc……Vivid Hi-Res photos and graphics makes for great all around reading. 4 panel/4 page sheet unfolds to 9” x 16” overall, suitable for framing. These are not regular manufacturer sales brochures made for the masses, but rather a highly detailed limited production specialized compilation previously only available by subscription. Fri, 04 Sep 2009The special edition Lotus Elise Club Racer in Old English White The Elise Club Racer is based on the entry level Elise, which endows it with Toyota’s 1.8 litre engine and five-speed ‘box, delivering 0-60 mph in 5.7 seconds and a top speed of 127 mph, and manages to average 37.2 mpg. Lotus has utilised its historic colours to pretty-up the Club Racer, so you get a choice of Elite Yellow, Carbon Grey, Sky Blue and Old English White for tha paint job – all 1960s Lotus colours. The exterior body colour is carried over to the interior, where the transmission tunnel colour mirrors the exterior together with silver and black highlights.
Toyota’s Hiromu Naruse dies in LFA Nurburgring accident
Wed, 23 Jun 2010Hiromu Naruse dies in LFA Nurburgring Frankly, we’re not too sure of all the details, but it appears that Hiromu Naruse, Toyota’s Chief Test Driver – and Akio Toyoda’s personal driver – has been killed on a public road near the Nurburgring whilst at the wheel of a Lexus LFA Nurburgring Special. The reports coming in state that Naruse collided with a BMW being driven by two test drivers. Neither of the test drivers in the BMW was killed, although it seems that one has life threatening injuries and is in a critical condition.
