Sun, 25 Apr 2010Part 2 of our review of the 2010 Range Rover Sport TDV6 Land Rover has had a thorough play with their range for 2010, a big part of which has been shoehorning in the latest lumps from Jaguar. The Range Rover Sport now comes with the 5.0 litre S/C engine from the XFR and the rather wheezy 2.7 litre diesel is swapped for the much livelier 3.0 litre from the XF. Not the 3.0 litre from the XF diesel S, mind you – that would have trampled all over the 3.6 TDV8 – but the slightly more pedestrian version with 242bhp.

Wed, 06 Nov 2013Volvo S60 Long Wheelbase (S60L) goes in to production Volvo certainly seems to be on the up at the moment, with new cars like the new V40 challenging established premium compacts and a complete new engine range in the offing. That is, to a great degree, down to the ownership of Volvo by China’s Geely after a period of stagnation under Ford, and now the Chinese ownership is starting to make strides in China. Chinese sales for Volvo are growing, and that’s going to be helped by a new long wheelbase version of the S60, built for the Chinese market in China and due to debut at the Guangzhou Motor Show later this month.
CCTV 'Spy cars' to be banned
Mon, 23 Jun 2014CCTV "SPY CARS" used to catch people who park illegally is to be banned, the Government announced, marking a victory for drivers and shoppers. The move will rein in "greedy councils" who use the method of fining as a "cash cow", and bring to an end the "plague" of tickets being issued by post. Parking wardens will instead have to fix tickets directly to windscreens, making it illegal for councils to issue penalties to drivers using just the CCTV spy cars currently used for on-street parking enforcement.
