Here we have an NOS, ORIGINAL FOMOCO 1955-1956-1957 FORD THUNDERBIRD HARDTOP FRONT WEATHER STRIP SEAL. This is the 54 INCH LONG late type that covers the complete front windshield area, so that the side weather strip joints are to the sides over the door glass. This was an improvement Ford made over the original top seals which had the front-to-side joints over the windshield and tended to leak in heavy rain conditions. I found this at an old Ford parts dealer that was closing down. The seal is still soft and pliable but is a little dried out. Applying a rubber conditioner or even WD-40 should correct this. I did get a nice deal on this and therefore I can the pass the savings on to the buyer. The shipping is a little higher than usual, because I'll to reinforce the part to a wooden plank for shipping. It's designed to mark six decades of winning in Formula 1 (not something the scuderia has done much of in 2011). Froilan Gonzalez won Ferrari's first F1 race in the 375 F1 car back in July 1951; 60 years later, Fernando Alonso won Ferrari's first race of the current season in the 150° Italia.
