CUSTOMERS who have no intention of buying a used car are costing dealers millions of pounds every year in wasted time and lost purchases. By taking up the time of sales staff and keeping them away from genuine buyers, so called ‘tyre kickers’ soak up time touring showrooms and asking questions. Some will even take a test drive while having no intention to buy a car.

Mercedes-Benz drops first sketches of S-Class Coupé concept

The first batch of official sketches of Mercedes-Benz's S-Class Coupé Concept emerged this morning ahead of its unveiling at next week's Frankfurt motor show. The S-Class Coupé Concept previews the production model that will replace the CL-Class Coupé, and the first glimpse provides us with views from every angle. From what we can see, it mixes elements of S-Class – dropping feature line, rounded rear screen – with a pinch of SLS – hood power domes, rear lamp graphics and cab-rearward proportions.

GM Korea doubles size of its design center

GM has invested $40million in its Korea Design Center, doubling the size of the facility. The expanded studio opened on 25 April, and will give improved support for both exterior and interior design. As well as more studio space, the upgraded facility now includes improved exterior modeling and 3D printing facilities, an outdoor viewing area with three turntables, and a virtual reality studio – the latter allowing design reviews to take place in real time with GM's network of nine other design centers in six other countries around the world.
