Presented here is inside mirror mounting arm with the mirror which came on it when we received it, and includes the mirror mount (chromed/slotted) screw and the wavy spring washer for tight adjustment of the mirror. Part number cast-in backside of the stem is "4695162" which is correct for 1957 Cadillac 2-door coupe and probably for 1957 & 1958 Cadillac 2 and 4-door sedans (NOT for convertibles) (LIKELY NOT for large cars like ambulance or limos as most of those seem to have a longer mirror stem than the regular sedans).

These are almost always listed by sellers who won't bother to list the part numbers from the backside. So you always have to ask them what the part number is so you can match to your project. So we collected quite a few of these over the past few years to try to learn just which fit which models as best we could determine. These may well fit other GM cars than Cadillac (Chevrolet/Pontiac/Oldsmobile/Buick) but we are not sure of other applications than those Cadillacs we have on hand for direct comparison. If your application is other than 1957 Cadillac Coupe, then check your application very carefully before bidding.

Mirror stem has light pitting in the chrome overall, which should re-plate excellent for show car applications. Often these mirrors have broken day/night switch. This is type with plastic flip handle with day/night operation working smoothly. The small white background area on the plastic day/night switch has worn off white paint. NOTE: that the mirror glass has background hazing, not in excellent condition but the mirror casing is still very excellent condition. Could use as-is or replace the glass.

We have never determined just exactly which mirror was used on which years' models but these are all about the same size, do the same job and very difficult to determine any one year from another and can be used interchangeably anyway. The mirror stems are very peculiar between years and models.

The Toyota Yaris accounted for over 20% of hybrid sales in March 2014 We’ve got used to new car sales (well, new car registrations) hitting new highs month after month, but March 2014 managed to top even the recent levels with the highest monthly registrations in a decade. March is normally the year’s highest new car month with the ‘year’ plate change coming in, with almost 20 per cent of cars registered in that month alone (it used to be August when there was just one plate change a year) and 2014 saw a jump of nearly 18 per cent over 2013, and the highest total since March 2014. Still sitting atop the list is the Ford Fiesta (25,753) with more than 50 per cent more sales than the second place Ford Focus (16,860), with the usual suspects taking up the rest of the top ten (full top ten sales for March 2014 below).

Spyker B6 Venator: Geneva Motor Show

The Spyker B6 Venator has been revealed at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show with Victor Muller hoping it will go in to production in 2014. Now., with the Geneva Motor Show under way, Victor Muller has revealed the Venator and we have more pictures – but little more detail. The Spyker Venator is a mid-engined, two seater sport car with a 3.5 litre V6 producing 375bhp with six-speed auto ‘box and rear wheel drive.
