Two million drivers risk insurance fraud

    Wed, 21 May 2014

MORE THAN 2 million drivers in the UK could be at risk of committing insurance fraud by claiming they are the main driver on a policy when someone else uses the car. As many as 6% of the UK’s drivers are risking invalidating their insurance by letting someone else drive the car for most of the time despite claiming they are the principal driver. Known as ‘fronting’, this kind of insurance fraud is common among parents helping their children to get cheaper car insurance.

Jaguar Land Rover create 700 more jobs at new engine plant

    Tue, 05 Mar 2013

Jaguar Land Rover has announced that they are creating an additional 700 jobs – double the original – at their new engine plant in Wolverhampton. Back in 2011, we revealed that Jaguar Land Rover were planning a new facility on the i54 development in Wolverhampton to build engines for their cars, removing the reliance on Ford’s (excellent) engines in the process. That investment was to be £335 million with 700 new jobs created in Wolverhampton – and more than 2,000 in the supply chain – but it seems that’s not going to be enough with Jaguar Land Rover sales continuing to grow at a great rate of knots.

2011 Turkish Grand Prix - Red Bull 1-2 What a difference a year makes. The 2010 Turkish Grand Prix was full of problems for Red Bull after Vettel and Webber collided, leading to Webber’s – seemingly justified – accusations of favouritism by the team towards Vettel. This year saw no such problems.
