This is a new idler spring used on all factory supercharged 1957 Thunderbirds belt tension idlers, Ford part # B7S 8689-A. This spring is made in the USA of tempered steel with an oxide finish that will not rust. If your idler spring is a Ford original and hasn't broken yet, it will! This idler spring is uniquely 1957 factory supercharged Thunderbird. Perfect for replacing a used, weakened idler spring or for a spare for when yours does break.
