The item offered in this auction is a used condition battery box removed from a 1958 Chevrolet 1 1/2 ton flat bed truck. This truck was a flat bed truck, owner by a local implement dealer (years ago). At one time, the tray of this battery box rusted through and the mechanic, at this dealership, reworked this battery box in solid, sturdy condition. The floor is a solid piece of flat steel. Flat steel straps were added to the back side where it bolts to the firewall. If you are looking for an OEM show piece, this is not it, but this is a solid, durable mount that will hold your battery securely. This part has been washed with a pressure washer, but I would recommend a thorough cleaning before reuse. These parts were removed from a 1958 Chevy truck, but it is probable that GM used the same parts on other years and models as well.

Holden Calais unveiled, previews Chevrolet SS
Sat, 09 Feb 2013General Motors' Australian subsidiary, Holden, has revealed its new VF series Calais -- the rear-wheel-drive sedan that in top-of-the-line, V8-powered, left-hand-drive form -- will be exported to North America and sold as the Chevrolet SS. The new Calais sits at the top of what Holden describes as an “extensively upgraded Commodore” range, with right-hand-drive Australian sales set to get underway in June. The Holden Commodore and its more luxurious Calais derivative have underpinned General Motors' sales in Australia since its introduction in 1978.
