This motor was removed from a '62 Impala and was taken to get rebuilt in the early 2000's. The owner was in a hurry to get the car ready for a show so he purchased a new one just to use it for that occasion then replace it with the Original one when it was done because he wanted the car to have all it's original parts. He ended up getting a good cash offer at the show so he sold the Rag. The new owner didn't care about the original top motor so when the gentleman got the rebuilt motor back, he placed it in a garage cabinet and it sat ever since. It hasn't been tested and tag is still in place from the repair shop. Based on a true story. Lol! Thanks!

MOST MEN enjoy a good Haynes car manual, whether they really understand it or not, but a group of youngsters has used the workshop guides to achieve their first qualifications in car mechanics. The first wave of the Haynes Mechanix scheme has seen a mixed gender youth club group, aged 15-25 and from Islington in London, use Haynes manuals along with guidance from experienced mentors to fix real problems on a real car. The donor Volkswagen, known as Percy the Polo, was a theoretical MOT fail and needed replacement spark plugs, a brake fluid replacement and much more, to give the aspiring tinkerers a broad spectrum of challenges.

Mini Rocketman concept (2011): a guided tour

Mon, 07 Mar 2011

Anders Warming, Mini's new chief designer who took over from Gert Hildebrand in December 2010, spoke to CAR about the new Rocketman concept car at the 2011 Geneva motor show. Here's the Danish designer's guided tour to the Rocketman - and thoughts on Mini design in the future. CAR: Mini Rocketman: tell us about the front view Anders Warming: 'The front view of the car has to be instantly recognisable Mini, but it also has to have a face that really tells you that the brand is going to the future. That’s why we are emphasising the light rings around the headlamps: the icon of a Mini, but now with LEDs.
