Hanover, Ontario, Canada
Condition:Remanufactured

GM first introduced cruise control in its Chevy Line-up in either late 1959 or early 1960 as a dealer installed or factory option. Since I have a near identical cruise set-up installed in my '61 Impala, I can guarantee you how well, smooth & efficient this technology works. I assure you it is simply not for show.

You are bidding on a part original, part reproduced complete & ready to install, 1961 & 1962 Chevrolet, Impala, Biscayne, Bel Air, SS, cruise control Kit which were originally produced by GM/Perfect Circle.

This Kit is for the small block V8 engine, 283, 327.

Please note the generator mounting bracket, the throttle rod & the Regulator or "Brain" mounting brackets are very different for the small block & big block engines.

The regulator or "brain" mounting brackets were cast using bronze. I have lightly filed them, however for show quality they could be cadmium plated, or...... you could polish, chrome or simply paint them.

The interior cruise controller or housing assembly was cast in aluminum & it could be highly polished to a chrome-like finish or simply painted to match the interior of your car. You may want to have the reproduced controller nut, button & escutcheon chromed as well. For perfection, these pieces may require further sanding & polishing. The dial is a NOS original from a 1963 controller.

The generator bracket and the throttle rod were reproduced by professional machine shops using NOS originals as a pattern.

The wiring harness is a reproduction (automatic tranny only). If you have a standard transmission please let me know as I now have the correct reproduction harness.

Two of the three cables were reproduced by a professional cable shop. The controller to the regulator cable is a used original.

You will also receive complete installation instructions for this Kit along with the necessary template in order to drill the hole in your dash.....

Please note the Regulator or "brain" had been installed on my own car.....road tested & found to be in good working condition.

You will not be disappointed. Full refund if not 100% satisfied!

Shipping to anywhere within the continental USA will be a flat $69.00...... anywhere else including International Shipping will be more..... please contact me for a shipping quote.

Storing classic concept cars is a huge hassle

Thu, 30 Jan 2014

If you see a dazzling concept car at an auto show this year, consider this: Somebody is going to have to find the space to park it and maintain it in a heritage collection, perhaps until the end of time. Preserving this year's hits as the museum pieces of the future is one of the great backroom issues of the auto industry. If you need to see the first wood-paneled Honda Civic Country station wagon from 1980 for some good reason, Honda has one in storage in Japan.

Audi TT Roadster

Fri, 20 Oct 2006

Following the launch of the new TT earlier this year comes its open sibling, the TT Roadster. Continuing to rebuke the trend for folding hard-tops despite even Mazda providing such an option on the MX-5, the TT Roadster perseveres with a cloth roof instead. Not only saving weight, this also means no visual mass protruding over the belt-line, though like its predecessor the roof adopts a more abrupt profile when raised than the fluidity of the coupe's profile.

Vauxhall's version of Santa's sleigh – complete with Voltec plug-in hybrid tech By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 14 December 2009 20:11 Here's the Vauxhall take on the design project we've set them this Christmas: to design a Vauxhall-branded Santa's sleigh. The boffins at Vauxhall/Opel design HQ have come up with this – a development of the latest GM Europe form language with hints of new Astra here and Ampera plug-in hybrid there.Vauxhall officials claim their Christmas sleigh features specially adapted E-REV tech to ensure Santa has no range anxiety as he flies around the world on Christmas Eve. Very zeitgeisty.'Santa's pleased as punch because he doesn't need to worry about the methane emissions generated by the outgoing reindeers on his 2008 model,' said a spokesman, while munching mince pies and throwing Magna crackers on the log fire.
