Up for auction here is a 1961 Mercury Meteor CENTER GRILLE SECTION & HOOD CATCH & OUTER GRILLE MOUNTING BRACKETS, removed from a 1961 Mercury Meteor Montery years ago. ....(the Headlight Bezels and Headlight Mounting Panels are NOT INCLUDED IN THIS AUCTION, but will be listed separately in other auctions in the next few days)....The Grille is in overall very Good Condition, for a 52 year old auto part, but does have 2 tool marks noted in the pictures, but I believe this was done at the factory by the areas being sprayed over....may also have some typical blemishes/scratches etc from general age/use. Lots of photos to show actual condition. Should clean up very nice. Also included with the grille is the center bracket/hood catch, and the 2 end brackets, to mount the grille (I may disassemble the brackets/catch from the grille for shipping purposes-all bolts/hardware will be included) Any questions, please ask. Peter Schreyer introduces Kia's new Sportage
Mon, 26 Jul 2010It's a sign of just how significant the new Sportage is for Kia that rather than flying UK journalists to an international launch location the company instead rented a boutique hotel in London's Notting Hill, created a sketch gallery in the basement and flew in key members of the car's development team to meet the press — who were then lent some the first new Sportage's in the UK to test for a month. One executive present at the event was Kia's Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Design Officer, Peter Schreyer. Car Design News was invited to meet with Peter to talk about his role at Kia and for him to talk us through a vehicle Kia is billing as the first to be designed entirely under his tenure.
Volkswagen wants you to design a video game car in return for an internship

In order to prove your worth, you have to design a car that looks beyond the current paradigms of The Car. Think more about how personal mobility – and particularly autonomous cars – will look, feel and interact by creating a new scenario: "Video games have created their own unique medium, devoid of normal design barriers," reads the competition website.
