Pontiac Hubcap

THESE  CAPS ARE GETTING HARDER TO FIND AND REALLY COOL TO DISPLAY IN THE TRUNK IF YOU ARE RUNNING CUSTOM WHEELS.  WONDERFUL CAR WALL ART TOO from a time when auto manufactures actually tried to style their products with individualism.

ON TO THE DESCRIPTION.  THIS IS AN UNRESTORED CAP THAT IS IN DECENT OVERALL CONDITION.  PLEASE NOTE THAT IT IS IN NO WAY, SHAPE OR FORM A SHOW CAP.  IT SUFFERS FROM TYPICAL WEAR INCLUDING  LITTLE DINGS, BB TO FINGERPRINT IN SIZE AND SOME SCRATCHES.   MOST ARE NOT NOTICEABLE, THOUGH A COUPLE TOWARDS THE CENTER ARE A LITTLE MORE PRONOUNCED ALONG WITH A LITTLE CURB RASH.  THERE ARE ALSO SOME MORE LITTLE DINGS ALONG THE EDGE, PROBABLY FROM IMPROPER INSTALLATION ALONG THE WAY.  JUST A GOOD OLD HARD TO FIND HUBCAP.  IT'S NOT PERFECT FRIENDS, NONE OF THESE OLD CAPS ARE.  PLEASE LOOK AT THE PICTURES IN DETAIL PRIOR TO BIDDING.

COOL EXAMPLE FROM A DAY GONE BY.  ON A SCALE OF 1-5 WITH 5 AS THE HIGH, BASED ON AGE, RARITY & CONDITION I RATE IT A 3 MINUS.

ONE OTHER COMMENT, WE SPENT A SEVERAL WEEKENDS AT SOME OF THE LARGEST SWAP MEETS IN THE MIDWEST OVER THE LAST FEW YEARS.  HUNDREDS OF VENDORS, THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE AND NONE OF THESE.  TAKE A CLOSE LOOK AT THEM.  WE ALSO ATTEND BARRETT JACKSON AND MECUM AUCTIONS REGULARLY. THE POINT IS THIS.  ONLY THE FINEST AND ULTRA EXPENSIVE CARS SEEM TO HAVE PERFECT TRIM.

I try to be honest about what I sell.  Almost all of these old hubcaps have imperfections.  Unless you are willing to spend hundreds for a set the best you can do are look for those in decent shape which these are.

WE SHIP ALL OVER THE WORLD!

WE COMBINE SHIPPING AND HANDLING ON MULTIPLE ITEMS TOO.

These old car parts are becoming more and more scarce.  After 9 years of selling over a 6000 items we've come to this conclusion.   If we can't sell the parts for a reasonable price, we're going to warehouse them. This is especially true of the nice parts and more unusual parts.  All they can do is go up in value.  Our point is this.  We've got the space and the means to collect and store what we sell.  Having said that don't be surprised if we run an item only once or twice and if it doesn't sell it doesn't show back up.  Please don't misunderstand us.  We want and do appreciate your business.  It just doesn't make sense to us to spend time and money relisting items over and over when almost all of these parts have only one way to go in the future.  UP.

PLEASE NOTE:  DUE TO SEVERAL NON-PAYERS WE HAVE ADDED THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT MEANT FOR THOSE TYPE OF BIDDERS.  WHILE THE VAST MAJORITY OF BUYERS PAY FOR WHAT THEY BID ON, WE HAVE RECENTLY SEEN A SIGNIFICANT INCREASE IN UNPAID ITEMS.  SO>>>IF YOU PLAN ON BIDDING PLEASE PLAN ON PAYING.   THANKS.  HAPPY BIDDING.

Ford Ka at the Paris motor show 2008

Thu, 02 Oct 2008

By Gavin Green Motor Shows 02 October 2008 10:26 Ford’s latest Ka – high style meets low cost – makes its bow at the Paris show. It’s a funky little thing based on the Fiat 500/Panda, and built in the same Polish factory. It dials up driving brio and youthful appeal compared with the industrial Panda and the mature chic of the 500 and will likely follow its successful predecessor as Britain’s best-selling baby car.

Mercedes SLK55 AMG (2011) at the Frankfurt motor show

Mon, 12 Sep 2011

This is Merc's hot rod drop-top, the SLK55 AMG. It's the most powerful SLK of all time, because under that bonnet and behind that three-pointed star is a new 5.5-litre V8 producing 416bhp. So the badge finally corresponds to the engine size?
