1963-1971 Buick Chevrolet Pontiac Olds NOS tailgate lock cylinder 3931614

Product Description

NOS genuine GM tailgate lock cylinder, part number 3931614, which was superseded to part number 3910572 in March, 1973, and then again superseded to part number 338285 in May, 1973.

This cylinder is uncoded (i.e. no key - the dealer was supposed to fix it to match the existing key). I'm not sure about the 3910572 cylinder, but the 338285 cylinder was a coded cylinder (just install it and give the customer the new key - too bad about their luck in having to deal with another key for their old clunker).

This fits:

  • 1964 - 1972 Buick Skylark SportWagon
  • 1964 - 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle Wagon
  • 1965 - 1966 Chevrolet Biscayne, BelAir, Impala and Caprice Wagon
  • 1967 - 1972 Oldsmobile F85 and Vista Cruiser Wagon
  • 1963 - 1970 Pontiac Catalina, Bonneville and Executive Wagon
  • 1964 - 1972 Pontiac Tempest Wagon

Brand new, still in original GM box, never installed.

Shipping - Payment

A few words to make things easier.

1. Combined shipping for multiple auctions is always available, but when the auction is over, you will have to wait until I revise things in my eBay "paperwork" to create just one invoice for all your purchased auctions.  And I have to do the revising BEFORE you pay.  If auctions are paid separately (i.e. before you receive my invoice combining items), eBay will no longer then let me combine them on one invoice.  AND, eBay then automatically charges you separate shipping charges for each item, which is not refunded.  Again, this is eBay's set-up.  Combining auctions benefits you by saving you shipping and handling fees.

2. Payment is expected within 3 days.  After 8 days, I will file with eBay to have my auction fees refunded.  If there is a problem with 3 days, please let me know, as I am not unreasonable, and I know that things happen.  Just be aware that having been on eBay full-time for several years has already afforded me an opportunity to hear a lot of "creative" stories.

Thanks for your bid.

Modified Mercedes turned to gold

Mon, 10 Mar 2014

GERMAN tuning firms are known for occasionally crossing the barriers of taste, but this latest offering from Carlsson appears to have gone into new territory. Called the CS50 Versailles – after the Palace of Versailles that King Louis XIV turned into a opulent chateau – it’s based on the latest generation Mercedes-Benz S-Class, which is hardly a car short on luxury. But that hasn’t stopped Carlsson turning it into an automotive homage to gold.

Tesla planning self-driving car

Wed, 18 Sep 2013

Tesla are planning a self-driving car Now that car makers have been fitting radar and sensors to their cars for some time, which allow stuff like adaptive cruise – which automatically slows behind traffic and can even bring the car to s stop on its own – the race is on to make cars even more autonomous. We’ve reported recently on the Mercedes Intelligent Drive S-Class that negotiated its way – more or less – on a 60 mile route in Germany, and on Volvo’s self-parking system which will take your car in to a multi storey car park by itself, park, and meet you when you return. Google has also been playing with self-driving cars and has even gained permission to run its autonomous cars in California, and now Tesla are joining the fray with plans for an autonomous car in the next three years.
